The name Heir House was coined by our team, inspired by the amazing crisp air that surrounds this land located in the Macedon Ranges, combined with the intention that the owners would like to pass the property down to future family generations. On plan view, the building itself is uniquely shaped like an H.
Daylesford & the Macedon Ranges region in regional Victoria, where it is being built, is renowned for its plethora of health and wellness retreats, natural mineral springs, spectacular forests and native wildlife, fresh organic produce, wineries, fine dining, country pubs and historic villages. The area is immersed in antiques and fine boutique shops and local craft and produce markets. It is home to a large art and design community and is a place where numerous state festivals are held annually. The area is highly popular for hosting weddings and gatherings.
The brief and vision for this project is to construct an architecturally designed, wellbeing focused rural retreat, incorporating a food forest, plunge pool, outdoor entertaining area, wood oven and fireplace; with carefully curated finishes to attract premium clients locally as well as internationally. The property will accommodate for families, group bookings, gatherings, celebrations as well as corporate clientele.
Mid-century inspired, the dwelling will have strong connections to the living areas with its outdoor peaceful surroundings. It will have an opulent, gallery-like feel, yet also be liveable and cleverly designed. Individuality in different zones of the house will be incorporated via elements of bold and coloured pastels, interesting textures and finishes, unpredictable and fun provoking details, while still remaining elegant and timeless.
