happy house

The brief of this renovation was to create a surprising, happy, fun, relaxed yet timeless feel to the interior of a significant heritage listed Edwardian manor in need of TLC for a young family of four.

A fun, artistic approach was explored with the use of natural textures such as wood and stone, with hints of a soft, fun pastel palette throughout.

Maximising storage and custom functionality was paramount across the entire home as was refined attention to detail and injecting design interest to both the new and traditional areas of the house.

Simple tiles were brought to life with peachy pink contrasting grout and clever layout patters; selected joinery with contrasting colours and textures made a statement, along with the glass backed bookshelf in the study. A hardworking kitchen nook was equipped with small appliances and storage, concealed seamlessly within the wall joinery.

With a large courtyard at its core, a detailed, lived-in, light and happy home objective was the overall focus for this majestic and lovingly restored Edwardian home.
